The north-eastern states of India including Assam and Sikkim, with Bangladesh and Bhutan, at 1:1,500,000 in a series of five double-sided maps from Nelles, with their slightly smaller size offering a convenient format for use when travelling. The maps present the countrys road and rail networks on a base with relief shading to show the topography. National parks and nature or game reserves are highlighted, as are numerous places of interest. Also shown are the countrys internal administrative boundaries with names of the states. Coverage extends north to include the south-central part of Tibet with Lhasa, Shigatse and Gyantse. An enlargement shows the environs of Kolkata/Calcutta and also included are street plans of central Kolkata/Calcutta and Dhaka.
